Thinking Pink & Giving Back Pt. II
As October is coming to a close, we are super stoked looking back over the events and opportunities that CupcakesEverywhere.com has been apart of. We have partnered with many organizations raising money for The National Breast Cancer Foundation, The Peacock Foundation, Pantene's Beautiful Lengths and many other breast cancer organizations. Recently we had an amazing time at the GodChicks Night of Pink celebration! Baking 500 cupcakes for this event was a large task, but we were up for the challenge. When we arrived to set up, we noticed that everything was elaborate, extravagant, and so pink! We were excited to share our cupcakes and displayed them along side a spread of delicious cookies from Sugar & Twine. There were plenty of other tables with appetizers and beverages, too! In addition to this, display boards covered an entire wing where art could be purchased. There was another area where you could purchase resources and souvenirs from the event and an entire hair salon on a raised platform! The salon was for participants to cut 8 inches of hair to donate for wigs made especially for cancer patients.
The entire event was incredible! I was awestruck by the amazing turnout and that was only the after party! The hundreds of women in attendance also had the chance to hear encouraging and uplifting words from guest speakers, were given pretty, pink gifts, chocolate, and really got to build community among each other. Overall, it was another great event, and with all of the events we have attended this month, GodChicks is pushing to make a difference and is super passionate about helping others!
And now that October is coming to a close, get excited for November, or as I like to call it, 'Movember'! We will focus on raising awareness and funds for Men's Health Awareness and focusing on Prostate Cancer. I'm excited about the Prostate Cancer 5K, entering the Movember Manly Cupcake Contest and many other great events to continue to bridge the gap between cupcakes and changing the world!
We have prepared mini cupcakes for weddings, bridal showers, fundraisers and birthday parties. You name it, and we will create a great mini display for you, and the best part, all we ask for is a donation so we can continue to help spread the cupcakes goodness!
